Rev. Stephen Carter is a distinguished pastor who has dedicated over 28 years of his life to pastoral and chaplain work. He began his journey as an assistant pastor in three churches before accepting the senior pastor role. Rev. Carter’s academic achievements include a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical & Theological Studies, a minor in psychology, and a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Ministry (DMin) degree, which he expects to complete in 2025.

Rev. Carter has been an ordained minister since 1997 and has completed four Units of ACPE training. This program trains chaplains and pastoral care providers to offer spiritual care to people from diverse faith backgrounds in clinical and institutional settings. Through this training, he has gained a deep understanding of the role of spirituality in healing; He has served as a chaplain for hospitals and hospice, using his compassion and ACPE training to comfort and support patients and families during difficult times. Additionally, he has worked with children affected by trauma through hospice, helping them process their emotions and find peace.

Rev. Carter served on the board of the local ministerium for four years and co-chaired the organization. The ministerium comprised approximately 30 plus churches of various Christian denominations such as Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal, and Independent. The ministerium was instrumental in organizing public religious affairs for the town, including the National Day of Prayer, during which Rev. Carter spoke alongside the mayor and other Town officials. He has also been invited to speak at numerous revival services and special events for various denominations and independent churches throughout his ministry.

In 2018, Rev. Carter co-founded New Life Christian Church in Colorado with Rev. Peter J Carter to pursue his passion for spreading the Gospel. As the church’s pastor, he has worked tirelessly to build a welcoming and supportive community of believers. Through his leadership, the church has become a hub for spiritual growth and social outreach, with Rev. Carter at the forefront of numerous charitable initiatives.
