What We Believe

The Lord Jesus Christ

At New Life Christian Church, we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world. He is the central figure of our faith, and it is through Him that we are able to have a relationship with God.

We believe that Jesus Christ is both fully God and fully human, having come to earth to live a perfect life, die on the cross for our sins, and rise again from the dead. Through His sacrifice, we are able to be reconciled to God and have eternal life.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and that salvation is found in Him alone. We acknowledge that there are many paths in life, but Jesus is the only path to eternal life with God.

At New Life Christian Church, we seek to follow the example of Jesus Christ in our daily lives, seeking to love and serve others as He did. We also seek to share the message of His love and grace with others, inviting them to experience the life-changing power of a relationship with Him.

As John 3:16 reminds us, Jesus Christ is the greatest expression of God’s love for us. Let us seek to know Him more deeply and follow Him more closely, as we seek to live out our faith in a way that honors Him and brings glory to God.

Scripture reference: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Scripture reference: “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast."

Salvation

At New Life Christian Church, we believe that salvation is a free gift from God, given to all who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation is made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and it is through faith in Him that we are saved.

We believe that salvation is not earned through good works or moral righteousness, but rather it is a gift of God’s grace. We acknowledge that we are all sinners in need of God’s forgiveness and that it is only through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ that we can be reconciled to God.

At New Life Christian Church, we believe that salvation is available to all people, regardless of their background or past mistakes. We seek to share the message of salvation with others and invite them to experience the life-changing power of God’s grace.

As Ephesians 2:8-9 reminds us, salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ. Let us celebrate this gift of salvation and seek to live out our faith in a way that honors God and reflects His love to the world.

The Holy Spirit

At New Life Christian Church, we believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, and through the Holy Spirit that we are able to experience God’s presence in our lives. The Holy Spirit is active in the world today, empowering believers to live out their faith and fulfill God’s purposes on earth. The Holy Spirit is the source of spiritual gifts, which are given to believers to build up the Church and advance God’s kingdom.

We acknowledge that the Holy Spirit works in ways that are often beyond our understanding, and we encourage our members to be open to the Spirit’s leading in their lives. Through prayer, worship, and fellowship, we seek to cultivate a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to guide and direct us in all areas of life.

At New Life Christian Church, we also believe in the importance of the fruit of the Spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We believe that as we grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, these fruits will be increasingly evident in our lives.

As John 14:26 reminds us, the Holy Spirit is our Advocate and Teacher, guiding us in all things and reminding us of the words of Jesus. Let us seek to live in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to lead us into a deeper relationship with God and a life of love and service to others.

Scripture reference: "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you."

Scripture reference: "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,"

The Sacred Scripture

At New Life Christian Church, we believe that the Sacred Scripture, the Bible, is the inspired and authoritative Word of God. It is through the Scripture that God reveals Himself to us, His people, and communicates His will and plan for our lives.

We believe that the Bible is a living and relevant text that speaks to us today just as it did to its original audience. It is a source of wisdom, guidance, and comfort that we can turn to in all circumstances of life.

We acknowledge that studying and understanding the Bible is essential for spiritual growth and maturity. Through reading and studying the Scripture, we can deepen our relationship with God and gain a greater understanding of His plan for our lives.

At New Life Christian Church, we encourage our members to regularly engage with the Scripture, whether through personal study, group Bible study, or sermons and teachings. We believe that the Bible provides the foundation for our faith and is an essential tool for spiritual formation and discipleship.

We also acknowledge that interpreting and understanding the Scripture can be challenging, and we encourage our members to approach it with humility, seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the wisdom of other believers.

As 2 Timothy 3:16 reminds us, “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” Let us approach the Sacred Scripture with reverence and gratitude, recognizing it as the inspired Word of God and a source of truth, wisdom, and life.

Stewardship

At New Life Christian Church, we believe that stewardship is an essential aspect of our Christian faith. We acknowledge that everything we have comes from God, and it is our responsibility to manage and use these resources wisely and faithfully.

We believe that true stewardship involves more than just financial giving. It encompasses all aspects of our lives, including our time, talents, and treasures. As stewards of God’s blessings, we are called to use them in a way that honors Him and furthers His kingdom on earth.

At New Life Christian Church, we encourage our members to practice stewardship in their daily lives. This may involve giving financially to support the Church’s ministry and outreach efforts, volunteering their time and talents to serve others, or simply living a life that honors God and reflects His love to those around us.

Through practicing good stewardship, we can deepen our relationship with God and grow in our faith. As 1 Peter 4:10 reminds us, we have each received gifts from God that we are called to use to serve others and further His kingdom on earth. Let us be faithful stewards of His grace and blessings, using them to make a positive impact in our community and world.

Scripture reference: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:"

The Church

At New Life Christian Church, we believe that the Church is the body of Christ, comprised of all believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that the Church is not just a physical building or institution but a living and breathing community of faith.

We believe that the Church has a vital role to play in the world, serving as a beacon of light and hope in a dark and broken world. We seek to live out our faith in a way that reflects the love and grace of Jesus Christ, reaching out to those in need and sharing the message of salvation with all who will listen.

At New Life Christian Church, we believe that each member of the Church has a unique calling and purpose in God’s Kingdom. We believe that God has gifted each of us with specific talents and abilities, and that He has a plan and purpose for each of our lives.

Therefore, we seek to encourage and equip one another to live out our faith in the world, using our gifts and talents to serve others and share the message of salvation with all who will listen. We believe that the Church is a place where we can come together to worship God, grow in our faith, and serve one another and the community around us.

In addition, we believe that the Church is a place where we can find love, support, and accountability. We believe that it is important for us to be in community with one another, sharing our struggles and joys and walking together on our faith journey. We also believe that accountability is an important part of our growth as Christians, as we seek to live in a way that honors God and reflects His love to the world.

Through our love and support for one another, we seek to create a welcoming community that reflects the love and grace of Jesus Christ. We believe that as we grow in our relationship with God and with one another, we are better equipped to live out our faith in the world, sharing the message of salvation with all who will hear.

As Matthew 18:20 reminds us, when we gather in the name of Jesus, He is with us. Let us seek to be the Church that God has called us to be, serving as a light in the world and sharing the message of salvation with all who will hear.

The Power of Prayer

At New Life Christian Church, we believe in the transformative power of prayer. It is through prayer that we are able to communicate with our Heavenly Father and receive His divine guidance, comfort, and provision. As believers, we have been granted the authority to approach God confidently in prayer, knowing that He hears and answers our petitions according to His perfect will.

Through prayer, the Holy Spirit ministers to the body of Christ through the power of prayer, bringing comfort, strength, and renewal to those in need. We believe that the fervent prayer of a righteous person is effective and avails much, as stated in James 5:16b.

Furthermore, as Jesus Himself said in Matthew 21:22, “whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” We believe that our prayers have the power to move mountains and bring about God’s will on earth. Our prayers can bring healing to the sick, comfort to the brokenhearted, and hope to the hopeless.

At New Life Christian Church, we invite all to join us in prayer and worship to experience the life-changing power of God’s presence. Let us come before His throne with grateful hearts, thanking Him for His goodness and mercy and seeking His guidance and provision for our lives and our community.

Let us never forget the power of prayer and worship, for it is through these acts of faith that we are able to draw closer to God and experience His abundant blessings in our lives.
